What are we looking for? "Singapore meets Europe" - Mentorship Program is looking for original and innovative concepts and IPs with potential for multi-platform exploitation developed by Singaporean content production companies.


The Objective:

The Mentorship Program will offer participating Singaporean content production companies the possibility to find European partners to co-finance their projects either through co-production with European content production companies, through accessing European soft monies and/or through attracting cross platform investment.


PREFERRED type of eligible content production companies:

Working in the fields of:
   
  • television

    •    
  • feature film

    •    
  • animation

    •    
  • games (PC, Consoles, Online, Mobile)

    •    
  • publishing

    •    
  • made-for-mobile content

    •    
  • online content

    •    
  • Minimum of 1 year in operation with a track record in developing and/or producing projects crossing over audiovisual sectors for cross platform distribution (the personal track record of key company management also counts in cases of start-ups)

    •    
  • Existing international experience

    •    
  • Profile of management team shows cross platform expertise

    •    
  • Companies applying for this program should have at least 30% local shareholding.



    • PREFERRED project criteria:

  • Submission in English


  • Cross platform content project ready for production


  • Strategy for multi platform distribution


  • Business model for generating cross platform revenue streams


  • Financing: 30% of the budget in place is preferred


  • Financing:

    •        - involve European location(s) and/or
           - involve European actor(s) and/or
           - involve European key creative talent
           - have sales potential for European distribution
       
  • looking for distribution financing: minimum guarantees, pre-sales


  • For feature films / TV films:

    •        - Asian theatrical distribution attached / distribution in core European territories still available
           - Asian TV pre sales attached / TV distribution in core European territories still available

  • For games and digital content:

    •        - Asian distribution attached / distribution in core European territories still available

  • For innovative audiovisual concepts and IPs:

    •        - marketability in Europe as well as in Asia with potential for multiplatform distribution



    Eligible projects are: fiction films (live action), animation films, full-length documentaries for theatrical or TV release, games (PC, Consoles, Online, Mobile), Online content, made-for-mobile content, content related to publishing crossing over to other platforms and, other innovative audiovisual concepts and IPs for multiplatform distribution. All submitted projects need to show a business strategy for cross-platform production and/or distribution involving at least 1 (other) digital content platform.
